Metamark 63-Inch Etch Effect Window Films Are Now Available in the USA Through KGAAF

KGAAF is excited to announce that 63-inch-wide Metamark M7 and M7A Etch Effect Window Films are now available in the United States through KGAAF, a Kirin Global Supplies company.

The wider 63-inch format gives architectural film installers, sign professionals, designers and glass contractors more flexibility when working with large windows, full-height glass panels, office partitions and other oversized architectural glass applications.

With a wider roll, many projects can be completed with fewer seams, helping create a cleaner finished appearance while improving installation efficiency.

Four Etched-Glass Finishes Available

The Metamark Etch Effect Series is available in four distinctive finishes. Each option provides a different balance of appearance, privacy and light transmission.

Crystal Etch

Crystal Etch features a distinctive sparkling, glitter-like etched-glass appearance. With approximately 56% light transmission, it provides the greatest level of visual obscuration within the series.

Crystal Etch is an excellent option for decorative privacy graphics, conference rooms, office partitions, feature glass, storefronts and full-panel applications.

Silver Etch

Silver Etch creates a refined silver-toned etched-glass effect with approximately 69% light transmission.

Its higher opacity provides excellent definition for computer-cut lettering, corporate logos, branding, privacy bands and detailed architectural graphics.

Dusted Etch

Dusted Etch provides a subtle etched-glass appearance with approximately 87% light transmission.

It is the most light-transmitting option in the Metamark Etch Effect range, making it well suited for understated window manifestation, safety graphics, decorative patterns and applications where natural light and visibility remain important.

Opal Haze

Opal Haze offers a whiter, brighter acid-etched-glass appearance with approximately 83% light transmission.

Its clean, contemporary finish is ideal for conference rooms, reception areas, hospitality spaces, retail environments, office partitions and decorative glass panels.

Choose M7 Standard Adhesive or M7A MetaScape® Air Release

All four finishes are available in both the standard Metamark M7 series and the Metamark M7A MetaScape® air-release series.

Metamark M7

Metamark M7 uses a permanent solvent-based acrylic adhesive designed for reliable adhesion to properly prepared glass.

It is an excellent choice for experienced installers, computer-cut graphics, logos, lettering, privacy bands, decorative patterns and general architectural glass applications.

Metamark M7A MetaScape®

Metamark M7A adds MetaScape® air-release adhesive technology. The adhesive contains channels that allow trapped air to escape from beneath the film during installation.

This technology helps reduce bubbles and air pockets and can make larger glass applications faster and easier to complete. The air-release adhesive is especially beneficial when working with the new 63-inch-wide format on oversized glass panels.

Why Choose a 63-Inch-Wide Roll?

Many commercial glass panels, office partitions and full-height windows are wider than traditional film sizes. A 63-inch-wide roll can help installers cover more of the glass with a single panel.

  • Complete larger glass panels with fewer seams
  • Create a cleaner, more uniform finished appearance
  • Reduce the time required to align adjoining panels
  • Improve material efficiency on oversized applications
  • Expand design possibilities for full-panel graphics
  • Support larger printed and computer-cut designs

Designed for Architectural Glass Applications

Metamark M7 and M7A Etch Effect films can be used for a wide variety of commercial, residential and architectural glass projects.

  • Office and conference room privacy
  • Interior glass walls and partitions
  • Storefront windows and entrance doors
  • Full-height glass panels
  • Window manifestation and safety markings
  • Decorative privacy bands
  • Corporate logos and environmental branding
  • Computer-cut lettering and patterns
  • Retail and hospitality interiors
  • Residential decorative glass

Professional-Grade Construction

Metamark Etch Effect films are manufactured using premium polymeric matte calendered PVC. The material is designed for accurate computer cutting, clean weeding and professional installation.

Crystal Etch, Silver Etch and Dusted Etch use a nominal 70-micron face film. Opal Haze uses a nominal 80-micron face film.

The films are compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV printing systems, allowing sign and graphics professionals to produce printed decorative window graphics in addition to computer-cut designs.

Metamark Etch Effect films may be applied using wet or dry installation methods and offer durability of up to seven years under the manufacturer's specified vertical-exposure conditions.

Available by the Yard or Full Roll

KGAAF offers the 63-inch-wide Metamark M7 and M7A Etch Effect films by the linear yard and as full 50-meter rolls.

A full 50-meter roll contains approximately 54.7 linear yards of material.

Ordering by the linear yard allows customers to purchase the amount needed for a specific project, while full rolls are ideal for large installations, production environments and contractors who regularly install decorative architectural films.

Important: Material sold by the linear yard is custom cut and is not returnable. The appearance and perceived opacity of etched-glass film may vary depending on the glass, lighting, viewing angle and surrounding environment. A physical sample is recommended for finish-sensitive projects.
