Designed for architectural glass, privacy graphics, decorative window applications and glass manifestation, the Metamark Etch Effect Series provides the appearance of etched glass without the expense or permanence of replacing or chemically treating the glass.

These premium polymeric films are available in four distinctive finishes, allowing installers, designers and property owners to select the right combination of privacy, light transmission and visual appearance for each project.

Four Distinctive Etched-Glass Finishes

Crystal Etch

Crystal Etch features a distinctive sparkling or glittering etched-glass appearance. With approximately 56% light transmission, it provides the greatest level of visual obscuration within the series and is an excellent choice for decorative privacy applications.

Silver Etch

Silver Etch offers a refined silver-toned finish with approximately 69% light transmission. Its increased opacity provides strong definition for lettering, logos, privacy bands and detailed computer-cut graphics.

Dusted Etch

Dusted Etch creates a subtle etched-glass appearance while maintaining a high level of visibility and natural light. With approximately 87% light transmission, it is ideal for understated glass manifestation, decorative patterns and lightly frosted architectural graphics.

Opal Haze

Opal Haze delivers a whiter and brighter acid-etched-glass appearance. It provides approximately 83% light transmission, making it an excellent option for modern offices, conference rooms, retail spaces, hospitality environments and decorative glass partitions.

Choose Standard M7 or M7A Air Release

Each Etch Effect finish is available in both the standard Metamark M7 version and the Metamark M7A MetaScape® air-release version.

The M7 series uses a permanent solvent-based acrylic adhesive for dependable adhesion to properly prepared glass surfaces.

The M7A series adds Metamark's MetaScape® air-release adhesive technology. Air-release channels allow trapped air to escape from beneath the film during installation, helping reduce bubbles and making larger glass applications faster and easier to complete.

Professional Performance

The Metamark Etch Effect Series is manufactured using premium polymeric matte calendered PVC. The material is designed for accurate computer cutting, clean weeding and professional installation.

Crystal Etch, Silver Etch and Dusted Etch use a 70-micron face film, while Opal Haze uses an 80-micron face film. The series is compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV printing systems and is suitable for wet or dry application.

Under Metamark's specified exposure conditions, the films offer durability of up to seven years, making them a strong option for long-term decorative and architectural glass applications.

Available by the Yard or Full Roll

KGAAF offers Metamark M7 and M7A Etch Effect films in 48-inch-wide material.

Customers may purchase the film by the linear yard for smaller projects or select a full roll for larger installations and ongoing production requirements.

Material sold by the linear yard is custom cut and is not returnable. For finish-sensitive projects, we recommend reviewing a physical sample before ordering project material.
