ROODLE combines a durable semi-rigid face film with an aggressive removable acrylic adhesive. The thicker construction gives the material enough body to lay flat on the wall and resist the curling, edge lift and handling issues that can occur with thinner printable vinyl.

Its low-glare matte white surface provides an excellent base for vivid printed graphics, detailed wall murals and branded interior displays. For qualifying indoor installations, no overlaminate is required.

Wide Printer Compatibility

ROODLE can be used with a wide range of approved printing technologies, including latex, eco-solvent, solvent and UV inkjet systems. This allows print providers to incorporate the film into many existing wide-format production workflows.

Always use the appropriate printer profile, ink settings and drying procedures for the selected printer and ink technology.

No Overlaminate Required for Interior Applications

For qualifying indoor wall posters and mural installations, ROODLE can be installed without an overlaminate. This can reduce production time, material cost and overall finished thickness.

An overlaminate may still be considered where additional abrasion resistance, cleaning resistance or surface protection is required. Test the complete printed and laminated construction before production.

Critical Surface Requirements

ROODLE must be applied to a smooth, flat wall surface. Surface texture is one of the most important factors in determining whether a wall graphic will remain securely installed.

Do not apply ROODLE to:

• Orange-peel or knockdown textured drywall
• Stucco
• Textured paint
• Wallpaper
• Rough masonry
• Heavily scrubbable or stain-resistant paints without testing
• Damaged, flaking or poorly bonded paint
• Damp or contaminated walls

If the wall texture can be easily felt by hand, this product may not be appropriate for the installation.

Wall and Paint Testing

Paint chemistry, primers, sealers, wall age and environmental conditions can affect adhesion and removal. Some modern low-VOC, stain-resistant and washable paints may resist pressure-sensitive adhesives.

Before producing the full graphic:

• Confirm that the wall is smooth, clean and dry.
• Confirm that the paint is properly bonded to the drywall.
• Allow newly painted walls to cure fully according to the paint manufacturer’s instructions.
• Test a printed sample on the actual wall.
• Leave the test sample in place long enough to evaluate adhesion.
• Remove the sample and inspect the paint surface.

Installation Recommendations

• Clean the wall with a lint-free cloth before installation.
• Remove dust, grease, cleaning residue and loose contaminants.
• Avoid installing on cold or damp wall surfaces.
• Use a clean, smooth-edged application squeegee.
• Apply firm, consistent pressure across the full graphic.
• Pay particular attention to edges, corners and panel seams.
• Avoid overstretching the material during application.
• Inspect the installation again after the adhesive has had time to settle.

Removal Considerations

ROODLE is designed with removable adhesive and may be removable for up to two years under qualifying conditions. However, painted walls vary significantly, and successful removal without paint damage cannot be guaranteed on every surface.

Adhesion can increase over time on certain surfaces. Always conduct a wall-specific test before installation, especially in leased spaces or where preservation of the paint finish is critical.
